I needed an Elevation Certificate to obtain a discount on flood insurance (which I wanted due to upcoming El Nino warnings.) I had received an estimate from a non-local engineering firm I found online and needed another estimate. I found Christensen & Plouff (by adding Santa Clarita to my search query) and contacted them mid-morning. Within an hour or so, I had a response, and an estimate by the end of the day. Christensen & Plouff was less than half of the cost of the other firm! I spoke with them about some details in the agreement and they were very thorough and professional in their explanations. They had room in their schedule to do the survey the next morning and I had the Elevation Certificate digitally in hand by the end of that day. The other company was estimating a 10 day window. I am beyond pleased with the quality and efficiency of their services. If I (or my friends) ever have future need of Land Surveying services, I will definitely be calling Christensen & Plouff again.

I recently bought a house in Santa Clarita and the plat map of the property seemed to show that my land was larger than what I had been led to believe was the land belonging to the house due the to the way that the yard had been fenced in. In such circumstances, you need the services a professional surveyor. My first communication with Christensen & Plouff was responded to within 24 hours. I answered a few questions that they had during our initial phone call, they had taken the time to look up my property on the Internet, and were able to give me a rough quote, which was more-or-less what I ended up paying upon conclusion of their services. Now my property has markers/monuments to denote each angle of the property, even going up the slope of a hill through thick brush. I have peace-of-mind that when I build a fence to replace the old one or when I work on the yard that I am clear on what is my property and what is the property of the neighbor. A land survey may not be for every homeowner, but if you were like me and actually didn’t know where your property lines were, I recommend Christensen & Plouff to have that question professionally answered to remove any doubt.
